In this month's Eugene Section Meeting, members Kaarin Knudson, AIA and Curt Wilson, AIA will lead a discussion on the current local legislative issues affecting increasing housing density and increasing affordable housing stock.
These issues are being discussed locally with many voices debating the pros and cons on the potential zoning changes to all R1 properties. Increased affordable housing is also being incentivized with increased local construction excise taxes which will be applied to a broad range of projects.
Do we have a unified voice from our membership as professionals? Kaarin and Curt will give us updates on the current debates and implementation schedule. These are relevant discussions to our practices as well as to our life here in the Willamette Valley.
There is no cost to attend. Food and drink will be available at the venue.
InProcess is a quarterly lecture series presented by AIA Portland exploring the creative process of local architects, designers, makers, and creators.
