AIA Bend Section People’s Choice Awards

These awards aim to educate and inspire our fellow citizens by showcasing architecture projects created within the AIA Bend Section area by AIA members, AIA Bend Allied members and Bend-Section-based design professionals. The program is intended to demonstrate to the public the role of the architectural profession in enhancing the built environment. 

All submitted projects utilize the AIA’s Framework for Design Excellence as a baseline for detailing each project’s impact on the environment. For built projects, entrants are asked to describe how their project addresses the categories “Design for Integration” and “Design for Discovery”, and two other categories as determined by the submitting firm. For unbuilt projects, they needed to address “Design for Integration” and three other categories.

We are excited to invite you to participate in the prestigious AIA Bend People's Choice Awards. This annual event celebrates exceptional architectural design and gives the public a chance to appreciate the incredible work of architects in our community.

VOTING has closed

Projects will be on display at Legum Design in Bend. Project winners will be announced at the AIA Bend Holiday Party on December 11 at Open Space Studios.

2024 SUBMISSION SCHEDULE

  • Entry Period Begins: July 11

  • Submission Deadline: 5:00 pm, Friday, August 23

  • Display for Public Voting: October 4 – November 1

  • Announcement & Celebration: AIA Bend Holiday Party on December 11

ELIGIBILITY

Any design professional based within the AIA Bend Section area is welcome to submit any number of projects.

AIA members based outside of the AIA Bend Section area may submit any projects that are located within the AIA Bend Section area.

AIA Bend Section Members and Allied Members may submit projects located anywhere in the world.

Entrants must have primary design responsibility for the projects they submit.

Built projects must have completed construction within the past five years.

Unbuilt projects must have been designed within the past five years.

Projects that have received awards in past AIA Bend Section PCA events are ineligible for entry.
