OSBAE has an opening for a public member

INTERESTED IN SERVING ON A BOARD?

OSBAE has a spot that may be perfect for you! The Oregon State Board of Architect Examiners (OSBAE) has an opening for a public member, i.e., someone who is not an architect. Public members are a vital part of OSBAE and represent the consumer’s point of view.

The Board’s mission is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public through the registration and regulation of the practice of architecture in Oregon. As a licensing board they verify that registered architects possess the required qualifications and level of competence to practice independently in Oregon, and those architects maintain a minimum standard of conduct and competence.

OSBAE members are appointed by Oregon’s Governor to serve four-year terms. They meet in Salem every other month with virtual attendance as an option. Meeting per diems and travel expenses are provided. Board members are also invited to attend national conferences sponsored by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).

Board service is a rewarding way to share your talents and learn new skills! To apply simply visit the Governor’s website at Governor of Oregon: Boards & Commissions: State of Oregon.
