AIA Oregon receives email updates from the Public/Private Partnership desk of the Oregon Office of Emergency Management to help distribute the message on important developments on public health and safety. “Good afternoon Private Sector and State Partners, The FEMA National Business Emergency Operations Center (NBEOC) is now activated in support of the nationwide response to COVID-19. The NBEOC is a federally supported dashboard that provides the private sector with information and coordination opportunities during an emergency. Currently, in addition to the dashboard, they will host coordination calls Tuesday and Thursday of each week beginning March 5 at noon Pacific time. The CDC released Guidance for Businesses and Employers to Plan and Respond to COVID-19. The guidance includes recommended strategies for employers to use now, planning considerations, and recommendations for an outbreak response plan.
The CDC released guidance for businesses with international travel including Interim Guidance for Ships and Guidance for Airlines and Airline Crews. These documents aims to help prevent, detect, and medically manage suspected COVID-19 infections on vessels originating from or stopping in the US.
On February 26, the WHO released guidance for Getting your Workplace Ready for COVID-19.”
