The AIA Oregon Board of Directors selected members to fill the open Executive Committee positions at the December 11, 2020 meeting. The committee is, left to right, President Amy Vohs, AIA, President-Elect Kaley Fought, AIA, Treasurer Stephanie Morales, Assoc. AIA, and Secretary Misti Nelmes, AIA
Kaley Fought, AIA has been selected as the 2021 President-elect and 2022-23 President. Kaley is currently Treasurer and that term will expire on at the end of 2020. She is an architect and associate at CB Two Architects and a member of the AIA Salem section. She replaces Seth Anderson, AIA, principal at BLRB Architects, and member of the AIA Bend Section, who will be finishing his term as Past-President.
Stephanie Morales, Assoc AIA has been selected as the 2021-22 Treasurer. Stephanie is an active member of the Committee on Equity Diversity and Inclusion. She is a designer at GBD Architects and a member of the AIA Portland section.
They join the AIA Oregon Executive Committee along with 2020-21 President Amy Vohs, AIA and 2020-21 Secretary Misti Nelmes, AIA. Amy is a member of the AIA Portland Section and Misti is a member of the AIA Bend Section.
New At-Large Director
Kathy Austin, AIA was appointed by the board to fill the vacant At-Large Director position at the November board meeting. Kathy is a sole practitioner focused on housing and a member of the AIA Bend Section.
At-Large Director
The other At-Large Director is John Flynn, AIA. John is a principal at Resolve Architecture and a member of the AIA Portland Section.
New Bend Section Director
Sara Bergby, AIA will assume the role of AIA Bend Section Director as of January 1. Sara is a principal at Enclave Architecture. She replaces Jim Satzinger, AIA, whose two-year term ends on 12/31/2020.
New Southern Oregon Section Director
Sam Uccello, AIA will assume the role of AIA Southern Oregon Director as of January 1. Sam is an architect at S+B James Construction. He replaces Andrew Owen, AIA, who’s two-year term ends on 12/31/2020.
Salem Section Director
Daniel Roth, Associate AIA has been elected to his section for a second two-year term as AIA Salem Section Director. Daniel is a designer at CB Two Architects.
Eugene Section Director
Colin Dean, AIA will continue as AIA Eugene Section Director through 2021. Colin is an architect at Rowell Brokaw Architects.
Rex Prater, AIA is the AIA Eugene Section Director-elect and will assume the role of Section Director at the beginning of 2022. Rex is a principle of BALANCE architecture + design.
Portland Section Director
Jennifer Wright, AIA will continue as AIA Portland Section Director through 2021. Jen is an architect at Telford+Brown Studio Architecture.
Ben Arico, AIA is the AIA Portland Section Director-elect and will assume the role of Section Director at the beginning of 2022. Ben is an architect at Bora Architecture and Interiors.
