Holst is an award-winning, women-owned architecture firm of forty professionals based in Portland, Oregon, and led by owners Kim Wilson, Kevin Valk, Dave Otte, and Renée Strand. Our reputation in the community and among our peers is founded on a process of inquiry and iteration that instills design excellence from the big idea through the execution of each crafted detail. Coupled with our ability to deliver on time and budget, our commitment results in work that resonates with our clients, communities, industry, visitors, and those who use our spaces every day: we are devoted to creating meaningful architecture that people love. For twenty-nine years, a clearly defined value system and an open and collaborative approach has governed our design methodology. We design for experience, always aiming to turn the ordinary into extraordinary. From conception to completion, we oversee all aspects of the planning, design, and construction processes to ensure that our projects are functional, efficient, financially responsible, and a source of inspiration.
