Suchi Reddy, AIA

A leader in today’s global design culture, Suchi founded her firm, Reddymade Architecture and Design, in 2002. brings extensive experience in large-scale cultural, educational, healthcare, retail, commercial, and residential projects to the award-winning practice. She founded Reddymade in 2002 with a human-centric approach to design, dedicated to celebrating diversity and equality, as well as addressing the economic, social, environmental and cultural impacts of her work on both the user and the planet.





Dan Rockhill, AIA

Dan Rockhill is the principal of the Architecture firm Rockhill and Associates and is the JL Constant Distinguished Professor of Architecture at the University of Kansas School of Architecture, Design, and Planning. He is the executive director of the graduate design building program Studio 804 and is responsible for several contemporary residential designs in and around Lawrence, Kansas and the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.

Dan will share his insights from his many projects, including the unique, hands-on projects created with students through Studio 804. This presentation is sure to inspire and reconnect you to design principles that will deepen your architectural practice.


Best Practice: Ian Butcher, AIA & Kailin Gregga, AIA

Best Practice is a design-intensive firm located in Seattle, WA. Founded in 2011 by Ian Butcher, the office emerged from a primarily residential architectural background. Wanting to explore the world beyond residential design, Ian dove into the world of cafes, retail spaces and office design, taking his residential sensibilities with him. Quickly growing beyond a sole proprietorship, Kailin Gregga joined the team in 2014 and now serves as the creative lead in the office. Best Practice has since established itself as scrappy and bold, known for creative problem solving and thoughtful design solutions. In August 2016 Architect Magazine named Best Practice as “Next Progressives,” and in 2019 they were honored with the AIA NW Emerging Firm Award. Read more here.


Kaarin Knudson, AIA

Kaarin Knudson, AIA, is an architect, urban designer, educator, and organizational leader with more than 20 years' experience working to advance sustainability, equity, and community-led solutions. She is principal and partner of Larco Knudson Sustainable Urban Design and founding director of Better Housing Together, a multi-sector housing advocacy organization created in 2017. In the decade prior, Kaarin led master planning and architectural projects honored by the AIA Design Awards at the urban, campus, building, and interior scales.

Most recently, Kaarin has advocated for and advised on the implementation of Oregon's landmark “middle housing” laws, which eliminate exclusionary zoning and re-legalize traditional housing types. She authored Lane County's first Affordable Housing Action Plan in 2020 and helped to negotiate the creation of Eugene's first Affordable Housing Trust Fund in 2018. Since 2008, Kaarin has taught advanced design studio and urban design in the University of Oregon's Architecture and Planning departments, and she speaks at regional and national conferences on sustainability, housing policy, and community change. She is co-author of The Sustainable Urban Design Handbook, which will be published under Routledge in late 2022


Allison Bryan, AIA

Allison is the Founder and Creative Director of Open Studio Collective, a woman owned and led design studio operating out of Bozeman, Montana and Portland, Oregon. She is a multi-disciplinary designer with degrees in both graphic design and architecture.

With over 22 years of design experience, her work includes international award-winning architecture, interior architecture and graphic design. She believes that conventional design thinking stifles creativity. Within Open Studio Collective, she is working to reimagine, challenge, envision, and problem-solve to create spaces and moments that nurture the human experience.

Allison is a licensed architect in Oregon and Montana, and is also a LEED accredited professional. She has previously taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Oregon and currently sits on the community development board for the City of Bozeman as well as the advisory council for the Bozeman Public Library Foundation.
