Newly Licensed Architects

Passing the Architectural Registration Examination and becoming a licensed architect is a significant achievement. It signifies that an architect is skilled in and committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of the public, and is a significant personal milestone for those that become licensed.

Congratulations to the following Oregon architects newly licensed between May 20, 2020, and August 14.

E. Amy Fields, AIA
Yi Wang, AIA
Katelyn Barbaria
Dunbee Choi
Brynn Cummings
Cara Mitchell
Duncan Scovil

We would love to do more to spotlight the newest Oregon licensees! Firms, if one or more of your staff has recently become licensed, we encourage you to share their story on social media and tag AIA Oregon, so we can spread the news! We are active on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

7/28 Emerging Professionals WFH Panel Discussion Recap

On July 28th, Bora Architecture & Interiors hosted an interactive panel discussion focusing on how working from home affects emerging professionals.  The event utilized breakout rooms in order to set up a framework for conversation and feedback about 4 specific aspects of working from home.

  • What are some things about WFH that are working well for Emerging Professionals?

  • There are design-related companies considering changing to entirely WFH - permanently.  How might this affect emerging professionals?

  • What are some things about WFH that are challenging for Emerging Professionals?

  • How can we improve the WFH experience for emerging professionals?

Participants had the opportunity to add “post-it” comments to a Miro board as a way of supplementing the conversation.  Each question was then discussed with the entire group, with panelists highlighting their own experiences while also sharing feedback from their breakout discussion and referencing comments from the Miro board.  Much of the conversation is recorded in the Miro board, which is still active.  We invite you to continue the conversation by clicking the link below.
