This seminar will share the lessons learned building a high value regional service provider firm and guiding it through a merger with a global professional service provider. About two-thirds of professional service firms do not survive beyond their founders. This is a dismal statistic. It means many founders leave their firms without ever monetizing their years of hard work and financial sacrifice. This seminar will teach you how to avoid that.
There are early decisions to be made, strategies to be developed, tasks to be identified, and negotiations to be completed to achieve a successful exit. Just as a multi-million-dollar project takes time to plan and execute, a successful exit takes planning, skilled experts, and experienced leaders to pull it off. If any parts are missed or mistakes are made, then the outcome will be less than desirable. You can end up paying out a significant chunk in taxes or consultant fees, leaving you with much less than you expected. Unfortunately, by that time it is too late. Additionally, if the post-sale activities are not planned well you can end up frustrated and not have the legacy you envisioned and deserve. This seminar will explore all these and clarify how to successfully navigate this treacherous journey.
