Darguin Fortuna, AIA is a founding principal of Flow Design Architects, based in Salem, Massachusetts. His role varies from the design and conceptualization of project ideas to managing and leading the team along the design process. He is an instructor and visiting critic at the Boston Architectural College & is focused on increasing the diversity pipeline of architects and designers in AEC by inspiring, training and guiding the next generation of architects.
The firm’s use of video storytelling & their YouTube channel has led to many opportunities for community outreach, project connections & retaining talented staff. Last year Flow Design Architects won the 2022 AIA Film Challenge People’s Choice Awards with their short film “The Change We See”.
Darquin will share the journey towards winning this award, the impact of being involved with the AIA at a National level with the Young Architects Forum & SFx and what resources he has used to make video a main segment of his firm’s outreach.
