Join us as we learn about how a local non-profit is developing a large-scale solution to the housing crisis in Oregon, and tour the space planned to house the innovative facility that will produce manufactured housing for low-income residents. Participants will also be able to tour two prototype homes within the facility. HOPE Community Corporation (Housing Options Production Enterprise) estimates a workforce of up to 100 will eventually be able to produce four finished manufactured homes out of this 80,000-square-foot plant in Eugene every day when it reaches capacity. Wednesday March 22nd, 12:15-1:30 pm.

Learning Objective 1:
Participants will learn how non-profit organizations can help address the housing crisis in Oregon by leveraging state funding and design initiative, as well has the benefits of partnering with local educational organizations to allow for construction job training opportunities and increase the educated labor pool in our region.
Learning Objective 2:
Attendees will learn how HOPE Corp. worked with a local architecture firm to help develop safe, healthy, and accessible prototypes for manufactured homes meant to house low-income residents.
Learning Objective 3:
Participants will learn about the fire-resistance included in the design of these new manufactured homes, to counteract the increasing damage the state sees every wildfire season.
Learning Objective 4:
Participants will also learn about how these new manufactured homes have been designed to be energy efficient.
