AIA Oregon is seeking members interested in participating in the AIAO Disaster Assistance Network. The AIA Disaster Assistance Program is a nationwide network of architects to help communities before and after a disaster. As a state chapter, we are obligated to identify a coordinator to the AIA National Disaster Assistance Network. John Blumthal, FAIA has been our coordinator for many year, and Russell Wisniewski, AIA has agreed to serve in this role moving forward.

AIA Oregon is planning to establish a chapter Disaster Assistance Network to help coordinate our various related initiatives, including the our legislative efforts to create and fund the Oregon Safety Assessment Program, assist local communities in their rebuilding efforts from wildfires, and establish certification training programs to assist the Safety Assessment Program.
The AIA Oregon Disaster Assistance Network is the topic of the February 25 Thursday Roundtable. Join others interested in participating in the Network to discuss the purpose of the network, volunteer opportunities for members, and next steps in the Oregon Safety Assessment Program.
