Please join the Urban Design Panel on Tuesday, August 18 from noon to 1pm for a virtual presentation: Earthquake Ready Burnside Bridge.
Multnomah County is working to make sure the Burnside Bridge is still standing after a major earthquake. The project’s Community Task Force has recommended replacing the bridge with a new, movable long span bridge. The project team is now seeking community feedback on this recommendation. If this recommendation moves forward, the next step is to start exploring different bridge type designs, which will includes visual, aesthetic and urban design elements. Join us in learning about the Earthquake Ready Burnside Bridge project and the future of the Burnside Bridge.
Presenters:
Megan Neill, Project Manager, Multnomah County
Steve Drahota, Design Lead, HDR
