Please join the Urban Design Panel on May 19th from noon to 1pm VIRTUALLY for a presentation by the Community Development Department of the City of Tigard. They will have updates on their Conceptual Design Report currently in progress for the South West Corridor Project.

The Southwest Corridor Light Rail Project:

The Southwest Corridor Light Rail Project will be an 11-mile extension of the existing MAX Light Rail system, offering a 30-minute ride between Downtown Portland

and Tualatin. It will bring high capacity transit to one of the most congested corridors in our region, connecting communities including West Portland Town Center, Tigard Triangle, Downtown Tigard and Bridgeport Village.

Southwest Corridor (SWC) Light Rail Transit (LRT) in Tigard: Transit and Urban Design Integration:

Tigard is working with TriMet and others to fit transit facilities into an urbanizing suburban landscape complicated by challenging topography and transportation corridor barriers. As project development progresses toward 30 percent design, this presentation will focus on a survey of outstanding design issues. The presentation will focus on the Draft Conceptual Design Report Chapter 7, which includes Tigard/Tualatin, Segment C of the SWC line
