The AIA Oregon Virtual Happy Hour is open to all who wish to get together and share experiences, ask questions, and connect with and support each other, focusing on various topics.
This week we will be joined by AIA National staff members Sarah Dodge (Sr. VP of Advocacy & Relationships) and Anne Law (Director and Counsel, State and Local Policy) to discuss how the pandemic and its economic impact will shape state and federal legislative priorities now and over the next few years. Will the economic challenges we face override all other concerns, or will the pandemic reinforce the need to prioritize resiliency? Will the politics of the economy and short-term actions dominate, or will we see the need for systemic improvements that impact the climate and infrastructure, including housing as part of the response? Assuming short term thinking will prevail, how can architects at the local, state, and federal level respond?
The events will run an hour or more - feel free to drop in and out at any time during the event. You do not have to be a regular member of any group to attend - all AIA Oregon members are welcome.
Due to security issues, we need you to register to receive the Zoom link.
